On average 75 percent of families have kids between the ages of 5 and 18 that play on organized sports teams. Playing sports is a great way to learn to work together as a whole, however parents should pay close attention to the possibility of injuries that can happen. There should be a common relationship between a parent and the chiropractor as he or she can teach preventative techniques to these young athletes by incorporating stretching and extremity adjusting to maxmize performance and recovery if the child was injured.
The number of children being treated for injuries is outstanding, the most common injuries seen were strains and sprains.
