What Is Peripheral Neuropathy?
Peripheral neuropathy is damage to the nerves outside your brain and spinal cord — most often in your feet and hands. When these nerves are damaged, they misfire: you feel burning, tingling, or sharp pain where there should be none, and numbness where you should feel everything. Over time, the damage worsens. Balance deteriorates. Falls become a real risk. Simple things like walking through a store or feeling your grandchild's hand become difficult or impossible.
The most common causes are diabetes, chemotherapy, and idiopathic neuropathy (unknown cause). Most doctors prescribe Gabapentin or Lyrica to manage the symptoms — but these medications do not repair the damaged nerves. They mask the problem while the underlying damage continues.
Is This Program Right For You?
Our Neuropathy Reversal Program helps patients who are suffering from burning pain in feet, numbness, tingling, and balance problems that have not responded to medication or other treatments.
This program may be right for you if you experience:
- Burning feet, especially at night
- Tingling or "pins and needles" sensations in feet or hands
- Numbness in feet, toes, or hands
- Sharp, shooting pains in legs or feet
- Balance problems or fear of falling
- Difficulty walking or standing for long periods
- Cold feet or poor circulation
Common causes we treat:
- Diabetic neuropathy
- Chemotherapy-induced neuropathy
- Idiopathic neuropathy (unknown cause)
- Post-surgical nerve damage
Neuropathy symptoms like burning feet or tingling toes are sometimes confused with plantar fasciitis. In some cases, nerve damage actually starts with compression in the lower back — which is why our assessment checks the full nerve pathway from your spine to your extremities.

What You Should Know About Our Approach
No cracking. No popping. Most neuropathy patients are never adjusted. Our program uses gentle, non-invasive therapies — shockwave, cold laser, and vibration — that have nothing to do with traditional chiropractic adjustments.
Your independence matters. Neuropathy steals your balance, your confidence, and your ability to live on your own terms. Our goal is to restore sensation, reduce fall risk, and help you maintain the independence you have worked your whole life for.
We look for the root cause. Sometimes neuropathy symptoms in the feet actually start with nerve compression in the lower back. Our assessment checks the entire nerve pathway — not just the spot where it hurts. If spinal involvement is found, spinal decompression may be part of your protocol.

Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment That Addresses the Root Cause
Most doctors prescribe medications like Gabapentin or Lyrica that mask neuropathy symptoms. A Cochrane review of 37 clinical trials found that only 3 in 10 patients get meaningful relief from Gabapentin — and the side effects (drowsiness, dizziness, brain fog) often make daily life harder, not easier.
Dr. Hamling holds a Neuropathy Treatment Certification through ClinicMasters. He is one of only 4 certified providers in Minnesota offering specialized protocols for knee restoration, neuropathy reversal, frozen shoulder, and plantar fasciitis — the protocols are what matter, not just the equipment.
Our Neuropathy Reversal Program uses multiple therapies working together to address nerve damage from different angles:
Shockwave Therapy
Acoustic wave technology stimulates blood flow and triggers your body's natural healing response in damaged nerve tissue. Published research shows shockwave therapy promotes nerve regeneration and increases myelin sheath thickness — the insulation around nerves that breaks down in neuropathy. This is not the same as Softwave — our equipment and protocols are specifically calibrated for peripheral neuropathy.
Cold Laser Therapy
Targeted light therapy penetrates tissue to reduce inflammation and promote nerve cell regeneration at the cellular level. A clinical study on diabetic neuropathy patients showed an 81% reduction in pain scores after cold laser therapy. Combined with other modalities, cold laser accelerates the healing process.
Vibration Therapy
Specialized vibration protocols improve circulation to the extremities and help re-educate damaged nerves. Published research shows vibration therapy improves pain, balance, sensation, and quality of life in diabetic neuropathy patients. Improved blood flow is critical — without adequate circulation, damaged nerves cannot repair.
Nutritional Support
We address neuropathy from the inside out. Specific nutritional protocols support nerve health and repair, working alongside the in-clinic therapies to give your nerves the raw materials they need to regenerate.
Self-Treatment Devices
We send treatment devices home with you so healing continues between visits. This is the key to long-term success — and why you are not dependent on driving to our Morris clinic every week forever.

Schedule Your AssessmentThis Program Is Not For Everyone
We are selective about who we accept into the Neuropathy Reversal Program. Our reputation depends on results, so we screen carefully to make sure we can actually help you.
The $79 assessment lets us determine if you are a good candidate before you commit to a full treatment plan. Not every type or stage of neuropathy responds to our protocols, and we will tell you honestly if we do not think we can help.
